Finally our photoshoot day arrived. Perhaps I was too tired from everything that happened on Monday that when I woke up for my photoshoot day yesterday, I had not much of excitement in me. I was too busy thinking what were things that I forgot to pack for the photoshoot. I was also still wondering if there was a glimmer of hope that DJ would be able to join us in the shoot (ended up he could not).

Anyway, the photoshoot started with some make-over for AK and I..mostly for me..haha. It took more than an hour for me to get ready for the photoshoot but just about 20mins for AK. We spent about an hour to finish up with the indoor shoot and started getting ready for our outdoor photos. It was hilarious when we just started shooting as AK and I could not keep a straight smiling face while the photographer guided us through. Keep Gallery is well known for their outdoor shooting so we did not expect much from the indoor ones.

The journey to PD was tiring but once we reached there and started posing (jumping, walking, climbing branches, lying on the sand, etc), it started to get really exciting. Our first experience on the beach was terrible because the sand was SO hot and there were a few “time-bomb-plants” there that got stuck on my dress and cut my toes..OUCH. We went to a few locations in PD and had a great time :).
Overall, it was a great experience. I like our photographer Eugene and my MUA Crystal very much..not forgetting Joey, the assistant to the photographer was good too.

Actually, my hubby warned me early in the day not to get too stressed up during the shoot and start showing tantrums during the event. Told me to just enjoy myself and stop with my WORRYING..hahaha. Well, I am proud to say that throughout the whole day of shooting, I was patient, obedient and just enjoying the moments. I am sure you are proud of me, hubby!
Follow up photos to come soon……cross your fingers.

I would really recommend this place if you are a fan of steam fish…especially Steam Fish Head. As far as I know, there are two places that serve delicious and cheap fresh steam fish head in KL. One is the ever so famous Jalan Chan Sow Lin Steam Fish Head (will post this soon as I ate it quite awhile back..hehe). One more is my new found discovery (thanks to my hubby), Mun Kee Steam Fish Head at Off Jalan Imbi.
I have tried two kinds of steam fish head at Jalan Chan Sow Lin (spicy and non-spicy) and the non-spicy one at Mun Kee. Basically, both are very delicious because the fish they use is very fresh. Overall, here are some of the differences about these two places:-

1. Harder to find parking at Jalan Chan Sow Lin (if you found one, you will be charged RM 2) whereas there is a designated parking space for Mun Kee (and it is a free parking if you eat there. Remember to have your ticket stamped before you leave)
2. The shop at Jalan Chan Sow Lin is small and very old whereas Mun Kee is located at a more open space hawker centre. There are also other stalls at this hawker centre selling other types of food.
3. The prices are cheap at both places. However, if I am not mistaken, the price for Jalan Chan Sow Lin is a little lesser than Mun Kee.
Personally, I would prefer Mun Kee as it is nearer to my place and the place has better ventilation than Jalan Chan Sow Lin.

Enjoy the photos of the mouth watering dishes at Mun Kee:-

Ta-da..the delicious Steam Fish Head (medium size according to the boss however it was huge. Enough for 4 person. RM 26)

Beansprouts (A big plate for only RM 5)

Steam Pork with salted fish (yummy and at RM 12)

Thumbs up by my dad :)

The way to a happy family is through their stomach..hahaha

Today DJ experienced many of his “firsts”.
First Obedience Training Class
First time meeting so many dogs (previously only had a brief meet up with my parents’ dog PoPo)
First time out in the park
First time on training leash
First time at Chinese Food Court

As you can imagine, he is now out of ‘fuel’ and just resting by my side. His first class turned out better than I expected. He was quite obedient out in the park with all the distractions around him. However, he was not use to me handling him with a leash. Hence he did not really like the idea of being tied down with it.

Today’s class was mainly for DJ to learn how to Heel (walking close by me when I walk forward) and to Stop and Sit when I stop and give the Sit command. AK and I taught him how to sit at home so that was not a problem. My problem was getting him to heel. We have a lot to practice before his next class next weekend. One of the trainers did however notice something about DJ and approached me. She said that DJ showed some future potential in joining some championship competitions because most of the time during his training, he was just concentrating by looking at me (however I was concentrating on the trainer too much..haha). The trainer said that this is one of the most important traits of a dog during training. So I guess now, it is just up to me. My training method has to be good in order for DJ to unleash his full potential :)

Gambatte to the both of us!! Hehehe..

As you can see, we were both lagging behind the rest..haha. It was because DJ refused to move forward with me with the leash on him. Anyway, hope with more training, he will get used to it by next week. But doesn't he look so handsome in the first photo? :)

p/s By the way, all the photos were taken using our new camera- Sony DSC HX1

I had a short but yet very meaningful skype conversation with my sister today because it was my first "typed conversation" with my nephew Matt. My nephews (Luc and Matt) just turned 3 years old a few weeks back. So far, my family and I had some video call session on Skype with them. Today Matt had to stay home with his mum because he is sick. I could not go on video call, hence I typed out what I wanted to say and my sister helped to convey my messages to Matt. Below is an extract of the conversation with my sis and Matt :). Enjoy!

Sis: Matthew at home sick today. He said he wants to say hello to Aunty Lyssa and kong kong - could not go on video call :(
Sis: hi from matttttt (matt type this with my instructions)
Me : HELOOOOOOOOO.Big kiss from Auntie Lyssa
Sis: he says he does not  like kisses...hahaha
Me : haha...blow kiss ma
Sis: no kiss (from matt)
Me : then HUGSSSSS la
Me : big bear hugs - then I gave him one icon of a bear hug
Sis: yes please (from matt)
Me : (hug)(hug)(hug)(hug)(hug)(hug) - gave Matt 6 more icons of bear hugs
Me : many many hugsss to throw away his flu
Sis: he likes the bears
Sis: he's saying they are giving cuddles and imitating the hand motion...LOL
Me : hahaha...so cuteeee
Me : tell him Auntie Lyssa will give him one bear when he comes to Msia
Sis: ;( Matt wants me to give you this face - It is a "crying" icon
Sis: I like a little bear said Matt
Sis: (hug) Now he wants the bear to cuddle you - gave me an icon of a bear hug

Isn't he just adorable? Hahaha. However, I am not too sure why he wanted to give the crying icon to me.

I attended my first "dress up" company dinner last night and surprisingly it was fun. Why I said surprisingly is because I did not enjoy the proccess of getting there (proccess of being in the committee team). Basically i felt useless and for the most part of the event, it was done by an event management company.

Anyway, as you can see from the photo attached, I dressed up as CHUN LI!! It was not because she was my idol (actually I rarely choose her as my Street Fighter character because she ends up loosing...haha). My reason of choosing her character was because it was the only outfit that can fit me!..haha. I tried a few outfits before this one. Both were Cleopetra's outfit. The outfits fits me but not too well (the skirt was a little big for me). I stumbled upon the Chun Li outfit when I saw the owner of the shop hanging it back into the closet. I saw that the outfit was small but was not too sure I could fit in. Asked the owner what outfit was that and once she saw me, she said it is Chun Li's outfit and it will fit me well since I am small sized. To cut the story short, I tried it, liked it and rented it!

I was a little worried that I would be so embarrassed wearing it for the dinner BUT they were so many other sporting staffs who really went all out to get an outfit for themselves!! :) I felt "normal" at the dinner..hehe.

p/s Grand Prize for Best Dress was RM 3000!!...I only got the consolation prize of RM 100 shopping vouchers.
p/s/s Btw, there were two CHUN LIs..hehe. Me at the right of the photo :P

Well, at least I had fun and had an opportunity to see Phua Chu Kang perform! :)
All in all, it was a great dinner

Information:

Venue: Cinneleisure, e@Curve
Price: RM40 per person (GSC One Utama is RM45)
Facilities out of cinema:
Free welcome drink (self service), huge waiting area (with lots of comfortable chairs, tables, magazines, LCD TVs on movie previews, massage chairs, beautiful framed photos of celebrities)
Facilities in cinema:
BIG comfortable recliners, good sound system, blanket and pillow as per request

I really love this cinema very much, compared to the one in GSC One Utama (Gold Class). The recliners are more user-friendly and much more comfortable. The waiting area actually smells good (lavendar) and it is such a nice place to be in. My HB was enjoying the free massage chair there while watching some movie trailers. Would definitely choose this over Gold Class anytime..unless we found an even better place :P. Hmmm...wondering when will the next time be ($$$$...'pokai')....hmmmmm

Err...perhaps an entire army would not be the right words unless the entire army consists of three of ME..or four.

Had this HUGE portion of Prawn Pasta at Tony Roma's today. Tony Roma's dishes comes with a complimentary bread, mushroom soup and biscuits (served before the main dish...I was 1/3 full after those dishes..haha). Anyway, the portion of my dish completes my lunch, dinner (takeaway) and I even had some leftovers.

*BURP*...excuseeeeeeeeee meee....:P

Everyone have their firsts in life. This is mine as a blogger. Will it make my life busier? Will it help me to update my life's story to my close ones? Will it be able to improve my English? I guess we will never know till I become a frequent blogger!!

So, wish me luck! :)
