It has been many years I have not had a good nights’ sleep. I am what you call, a DREAMER. I dream almost the whole night and 99% of the time I can recall what I dream about.

Some people say that dreams have some connection to the days’ event or something that is bothering our mind. However, my dreams vary in so many ways. It can be just a mere daily routine stuff all the way to dreaming about snakes, killing or running away from killers etc. The only “upside” about all this is that at times, I manage to continue my dream after perhaps a toilet break in the middle of the night.

Sometimes my dream feels so real that I get it mixed up with reality. For example, in my dream I had a conversation with someone. As my day goes by, I become confused whether I really had that conversation and had to ask that particular person.

I have tried a few ways to curb this problem such as sleeping earlier, scented oil, no action movies before sleep, reading a light book instead of watching TV, short and simple exercise before sleep, and many more but the closest I get is perhaps I have a better sleep by 0.001%.

All these dreaming episodes would not have bothered me if I could wake up refreshed every morning. But more than half of the time, I wake up feeling even more tired than the night before! And what is worse, at times I get headaches. It makes my whole day unbearable.

I know I am not the only one experiencing this, as there are many similar cases as mine out there. However, so far, I have not read of any solutions yet and even some suggests that it has something to do with depression. I do not think it is this serious, but it is driving me crazy.

I am wondering whether I should go to a sleep clinic but I do not know where in Malaysia has sleep clinic and worry about how much it will cost. I did however found one Sleep Study Center who mainly does research on Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital. What do you think? Should I pursue this or not? Or are there any other ways that cost less?

I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpal_tunnel_syndrome) about three weeks ago by an Orthopedic Surgeon. His thoughts were that it was caused by my pregnancy (inflammation, water retention & weight increment). Anyway, this is not what I wanted to talk about.

Due to the above, I have to go on physiotherapy sessions and wear a wrist guard for a month before my next check-up. So for precaution, my sister introduced me this programme to be installed in my computer. It will give me reminders to “rest” after a certain period of time typing. The below pictures show three of the few types of reminders by this programme.

And, my favourite one is....

My question is….can I use this to ‘curi tulang’ (stealing time-off) during office hours? MUAHAHAHAHA

It has been so long I had cough. I never liked the cough syrup given by the doctor and tried to avoid at all cost on taking it. So when I know my cough is just starting, I will tell the doctor that I had no cough. Normally, while recovering from my other sickness (sorethroat, flu, headache, etc) my cough will go away with plenty of water. This time I am not that lucky as cough was the main symptom of my sickness.

It is now 2.00am. I went to bed at 11.30pm. I could not sleep.

It all started about a week ago (Wednesday). I had sorethroat and cough. Went to see the doc and took his medicine diligently. I had medical leave on Wednesday and had Thursday to rest too because it was a public holiday. Went back to work on Friday not fully recovered. As the office was cold (even when I had my jacket on), my cough got worse. Went to see the doctor again on Saturday and had three days to rest. For two nights I could not sleep much as I was mainly coughing my lungs out at night (till one point I vomited). Nevertheless I got a little better, enough for me to go back to work today (have to..do not want to get fired…haha). That morning when I woke up from my measly few hours of sleep, whaddaya know, I woke up with a red eye (not extremely red but had the symptoms of conjunctivitis). I went to work anyway. My cough medication finished the day before (after 6days).

Tonight, I was coughing rather badly and while lying on the bed trying to get some shut eye, my red eye symptoms got worse. Fluid and shit was flowing out of the eye every few seconds. My vision on my left red eye blurred out. My cough did not seem to help me get my shut eye. And hence, here I am…getting frustrated and wondering when will all these end. I have tried doctors’ medication + gargling with salt water and Listerine + dosage of Pei Pa Ko + drinking herbal drink + drinking honey + drinking ginger water..nothing works. I can’t be getting no sleep at night and go to work in the morning. I can’t take medical leave everyday or I may just get fired. WTH!!! Sigh…

So now I am trying to get myself very tired and try to get some sleep on the sofa. Hope I can get at least a few hours of sleep tonight…wish me luck.

I just took a seasonal flu vaccine, as I would be traveling to Australia soon. I know that now is not the winter season in Australia and I know that it is NOT a prevention for H1N1, but I guess it makes me feel “safer” by taking the jab which cost me RM74.80. The temperature at night in OZ is still cold (8-10 deg) and I would not want to be caught with any kind of flu once I get back to Malaysia. I would be too busy with the moving to my new home thing and cannot afford to get sick.

Anyway, I was asked to fill in a form (are you pregnant? When was your LMP? Are you allergic to any kind of drugs? Are you allergic to any kind of food? ). As I am not allergic to anything, I just tick NO to all without reading the details properly. The doctor who gave me the jab repeated these questions. And then he asked: Are you allergic to CHICKEN EGG? Huhhhhh???????? First thing on my mind was, it is soooooo delicious and why would anyone be allergic to chicken eggs? Then it came to me: What does chicken eggs got to do with the vaccination I am taking? Here is what I found:

Well I guess I am very lucky I am not allergic to chicken egg. I love them but not as much as my hubby do :P
