And...the DVD itself!!

Russell Peters!!! You are one heck of a funny man!
AK and I fell in love with Russell Peters like we fell in love with the Edamame :P (http://lyssapathoflife.blogspot.com/2010/06/where-can-i-find-this.html). I have to thank Steven (friend) who introduced me to him. Russell Peters is so far one of the funniest comedian in the world. For the record, I do not watch many stand-up comedies. Hence, please forgive me if you do not think so (introduce me to one if you have someone better..hehe). Well, even if he is not the BEST, at least he is AMAZINGLY HILARIOUS!! I introduced him to a few of my friends and they just loveeeeeee him :).
Since he is a Canadian-Indian, his best jokes are on the Indians. Other than that, his jokes revolve a lot around Asians, Arabs, Jews, cultures, sex, etc. I am sure you would know by now that he will NEVER be allowed to perform in Malaysia. I was excited and sad at the same time when my friend Anu (I introduced RP to her a few months back) told me she will have the opportunity to watch him in Australia. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..why not me??? But well, she did help me buy one of his shows on DVD and I was so excited when the package arrived.
AK and I did not waste a single minute to start watching it. It was great just laughing our asses off at home watching him for two days in a row :)
To those who have not heard of Russell Peters, go watch some of his clips on You Tube. Unless you are one of those who are sensitive to jokes, you will surely enjoy his show.

Website: http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/05/anybots-robot-telepresence/
(see the video)

"Robots have replaced humans on assembly lines, battlefields, space missions and rescue operations. Now how about doing something useful, like sitting through endless meetings for you?
Meet the Anybots QB, a telepresence robot that can represent you in the office by sitting in conference rooms, going to meetings and rolling about through the cubicle farm. The whole time it does so, it displays a live webcam video of your face, while transmitting to you a live video and audio stream of whatever it’s looking at."
Hmmm...too bad it cannot type for me at work.

We are having a blast playing with our new toy, the Sony DSC HX1. It is simple enough for me to use and yet the photos turn out quite well. I am no expert in photography but this camera pushes me to be more creative in photo taking. Below are some photos taken using this camera. Keep in mind that we are not professionals and are just learning the right way of using it :)

I attended my first "dress up" company dinner last night and surprisingly it was fun. Why I said surprisingly is because I did not enjoy the proccess of getting there (proccess of being in the committee team). Basically i felt useless and for the most part of the event, it was done by an event management company.
Anyway, as you can see from the photo attached, I dressed up as CHUN LI!! It was not because she was my idol (actually I rarely choose her as my Street Fighter character because she ends up loosing...haha). My reason of choosing her character was because it was the only outfit that can fit me!..haha. I tried a few outfits before this one. Both were Cleopetra's outfit. The outfits fits me but not too well (the skirt was a little big for me). I stumbled upon the Chun Li outfit when I saw the owner of the shop hanging it back into the closet. I saw that the outfit was small but was not too sure I could fit in. Asked the owner what outfit was that and once she saw me, she said it is Chun Li's outfit and it will fit me well since I am small sized. To cut the story short, I tried it, liked it and rented it!
I was a little worried that I would be so embarrassed wearing it for the dinner BUT they were so many other sporting staffs who really went all out to get an outfit for themselves!! :) I felt "normal" at the dinner..hehe.
p/s Grand Prize for Best Dress was RM 3000!!...I only got the consolation prize of RM 100 shopping vouchers.
p/s/s Btw, there were two CHUN LIs..hehe. Me at the right of the photo :P
Well, at least I had fun and had an opportunity to see Phua Chu Kang perform! :)
All in all, it was a great dinner

It is not too often you would find a shop selling desserts (tong sui) with so many varieties in a shopping mall. They serve cold and hot desserts with a wide range of variety. I am sure you could find your favourite tong sui in this shop. I have not tried many of their desserts but so far the ones I have tasted are quite impressive. Some of it is shown in the picture above. Below are the details of the shop :-
Name : HONEYMOON
Venue: One Utama, LG 322, LG Floor Oval 1 (near Coldstorage)
Speciality: A wide variety of Hong Kong Desserts
Others: They have a few other branches (Kepong, Sunway Pyramid, Puchong and Low Yat)
All I can say is...for a girl like me who is not really into tong sui, this would be a place I definitely visit again.

I would recommend my friends to watch this movie. It is about how the human kind have evolved and relying a lot on surrogates to walk their life..even to the extent of doing your daily chores. A human will just need to use the power of the brain to control these surrogates that were created to avoid lost of innocent lives (through crimes or military mishaps..etc)
It does make you wonder whether things will actually get better with a surrogate being put out into the world to lead your life. Will it really help the human kind? Or will it make humans become a lazy bunch of people? See for yourself :)
p/s You got to close one eye on Bruce Willis's wig...it looks ugly...hehe

A friend sent me this article and I found it to be very amusing. Reminds me of the movie "Pleasantville". While reading the article, I found myself laughing, offended, amazed, angry, curious....all emotions mixed into one. But I would not be suprised that they are still women who actually have to follow most of these rules once they are married. In my opinion, some of the "rules" are not too bad but quite a few of them are degrading.
In the end, I only had one emotion about this article and that was-----AMUSED..hehe. One thing is for sure, if my hubby wants me to follow all the rules stated in the article, I will......hmmm.....lets not get to that part. Because for sure I would not marry a guy like that...:P
